Usability
A user-friendly website is of great importance. Signicom has built up considerable experience in website usability testing. This entails evaluating the site's communicative effect and navigation. Usability tests can be employed during the design phase or for existing websites. Designers and other parties can watch the user's screen activity via CCTV, as if they themselves were the user. Signicom can give practical advice about any issues and essential modifications using these techniques and specialists in the field. Usability tests can also be used to evaluate other interfaces such as CD-ROM's.

"Signicom knew exactly where our website was causing visitors to lose their way. One day later, we received a list of concrete improvements, which we could start implementing right away!"
Card sorting
To arrive at an optimal website menu structure, we also utilize card sorting. A maximum of forty labels are developed in advance. These labels represent the names of internal or external links that appear on the website. The respondent is asked to sort the labels into logical categories. The optimal positioning on the website then becomes apparent based on the layout of these categories.
Card sorting research offers the following advantages:
- Card sorting research is relatively fast to set up and perform.
- The research tasks are easy for respondents to perform.
- It lays a firm foundation for the website's structure.
